Welcome to Energy Code Concierge, a resource built by the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders' Association (SRHBA) specifically for builders working in our region. This site exists to do one thing: take the complexity out of energy code compliance so you can spend less time decoding requirements and more time building.
Why we launched ECC
Energy codes have changed a lot in recent years, and they're going to keep changing. Saskatchewan is in the process of adopting the latest model energy codes, which introduce new performance targets and compliance pathways that affect how homes are designed, insulated, air-sealed, and ventilated.
For builders — especially those running smaller operations without a dedicated energy consultant on staff — keeping up with those changes can be a real challenge. The code documents themselves are dense, the compliance pathways aren't always obvious, and the consequences of getting something wrong can show up late in a project when they're most expensive to fix. And increasingly, builders are finding themselves in a different kind of conversation too: clients asking whether energy-efficient upgrades are worth it, and wanting a clear, confident answer.

Energy Code Concierge is built with home builders in Saskatchewan in mind.
